Panning Shots at Track Day2022

On a beautiful fall day, I saw a sign. Literally, a sign on the side of the road for the SCCA autocross event happening just miles away from my house. I had just finished taking a walk in the woods, taking pictures of the changing colors in the trees. After a quick lunch break, I hopped back in the car to see if they were still running the event.

I had just purchased a new to me, used Canon 85mm f1.8 lens for my Canon 5D Mark III. I wanted to see what it was capable of. After scouting the location and dialing in the camera settings, I was able to snap some of these heroic shots. I walked away with so many great shots it was hard pairing it down to these eight. Detroit 2022

Combine the bright blue sky on a cold winter day with Detroit’s wonderful architectural details. It was hard just picking ten photos out of hundreds.
